The single place to control what Bubsby is allowed to ping you about.
What this does
- Master switch for all push notifications.
- Per-category switches for reminders, birthdays, household updates, email summaries.
- Quiet mode for set hours (e.g. overnight).
- Overdue reminder style (gentle vs persistent).
When to use this
- The first time you set up Bubsby.
- When you're getting too many or too few notifications.
- Before holidays or stretches when you want fewer interruptions.
How it works
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Allow Notifications — master on/off.
- Categories — toggle each independently.
- Quiet mode — set a start and end time. Notifications during those hours wait.
- Overdue style — choose how persistent overdue reminders are.
Important things to know
- If your phone has blocked Bubsby's notifications, you'll need to fix that in your device settings — Bubsby will tell you when this is the case.
- Quiet mode delays — it doesn't drop. Held notifications fire when quiet ends.
- Email summaries are a separate category from reminders.
Common questions
- Why is a reminder I set not arriving? See Troubleshooting Reminders.
- Will turning off notifications stop reminders from being saved? No — your reminders stay; they just don't ping. The bell badge still shows on item cards.
