How you appear in your household.

What this does

  • Stores your first and last name.
  • Sets the avatar your household sees on items you create or are assigned to.
  • Lets you choose a photo or a colour and initial.

When to use this

  • During first-day setup.
  • If you change your name.
  • When you want to swap out your avatar for a new photo.

How it works

  1. Open Settings → Profile.
  2. Edit your first and last name.
  3. Tap your avatar to change it:
  • Upload a photo.
  • Or choose a generated initial-and-colour avatar.
  1. Save.

Important things to know

  • Photos are resized down to 384px on the longest side and stored small to keep things fast.
  • Allowed photo formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF. Maximum source size: 8 MB.
  • Your name and avatar are visible to your household members only.

Common questions

  • Can I have a different avatar in different households? Not yet — your profile is shared across any household you're in.
  • Why does my photo look smaller? It's optimised so the app stays fast — quality is preserved at small sizes.
