If a reminder didn't fire, it's usually one of these.
What this does
- Walks you through the four most common reasons reminders don't deliver.
- Gives you a one-tap path back to the right setting for each.
When to use this
- "I expected a buzz at 8am and nothing happened."
- "It worked yesterday, not today."
- "My partner didn't get a reminder I set for them."
How it works
1. Notifications aren't on
- Open Settings → Notifications. Check Allow Notifications is on.
- Check the specific category (e.g. Reminders) is on.
2. Your phone blocked the app
- iPhone: Settings → Bubsby → Notifications. Allow.
- Android: Settings → Apps → Bubsby → Notifications.
3. The reminder wasn't confirmed
- Open the item and check there's a bell icon with a time.
- If not, tap Set Reminder and confirm.
4. It was a delegated reminder and not yet accepted
- The recipient needs to tap Add the reminder.
- Until they do, it sits as pending.
Important things to know
- Quiet mode (Settings → Notifications) holds reminders during set hours — they aren't lost, just delayed.
- If you reinstall the app or get a new phone, you may need to allow notifications again.
- Bubsby never deletes reminders silently.
Common questions
- My partner deleted the suggestion. They can decline; the item stays, the reminder doesn't.
- Push works for some categories and not others. Check each category toggle in Settings → Notifications.
