If you decide to leave, your data leaves with you.
What this does
- Permanently removes your personal account and the data associated with it.
- Removes you from your household.
- Items you created in shared spaces may stay with the household.
When to use this
- You're stopping using Bubsby.
- You want a clean start.
- A relative who tested an account no longer needs it.
How it works
- Open Settings → Delete Account (also available at
/delete-account). - Read the confirmation page — it explains what will be removed.
- Confirm.
- Your account is closed and personal data deletion begins.
Important things to know
- Deletion is permanent. You can't undo this.
- Other household members keep access to shared items and lists.
- If you're the only Owner of a household, you'll be asked to transfer ownership first.
- Backups and audit logs may retain some data for a short period as required by law.
Common questions
- Can I just take a break instead? Yes — turn off notifications and don't open the app. Nothing breaks.
- What happens to my forwarded emails? Original email evidence linked to deleted items is removed when those items are deleted.
- Will my partner be told? They'll see your name disappear from the household and from items you owned.
