A household lets you and your partner share children, items, and the shopping list.

What this does

  • Sends an email invite to anyone you choose.
  • Lets them join your household with their own account.
  • Shares children, items, calendar, and shopping list across the household.

When to use this

  • "My partner needs to see this too."
  • "Grandma helps with after-school — can she see the schedule?"
  • "We're a co-parenting household across two homes."

How it works

  1. Open Settings → Household.
  2. Tap Invite member.
  3. Enter their email address and choose a role (Member or Admin).
  4. Tap Send invite.
  5. They receive an email with a link. They sign in or sign up to accept.

Important things to know

  • Invited people see the same household data (children, items, list, calendar) — visibility is controlled by who has accepted.
  • You can revoke a pending invite anytime.
  • Roles control what they can do — see Roles and Permissions.

Common questions

  • What if they didn't get the email? Check pending invites in Settings → Household and tap Resend.
  • Can a person be in more than one household? That's coming. For now, plan around one household per person.
  • Can grandparents join? Yes — anyone with an email address can be invited.
