Every item Bubsby shows you can be opened up to see exactly where it came from.
What this does
- Shows where the item came from — voice, email, photo, manual entry, etc.
- Shows who created it and when.
- Shows the AI's reasoning — what date, child, and owner it picked, with confidence levels.
- For email items, shows the original email as evidence.
When to use this
- An item appears and you don't recognise it.
- You want to check what the source said.
- The AI guessed something and you want to see how sure it is.
How it works
- Open any item card.
- Find the Why am I seeing this? expander (usually at the bottom of the detail view).
- Tap to expand. You'll see:
- Origin — source, who created it, when.
- Reasoning — date extraction status, child match, owner choice, reminder count, each with a confidence badge.
- Email evidence (if it came from email) — subject, received date, full body.
Important things to know
- The original source is always preserved — Bubsby never overwrites the email or photo.
- The item description shown is your approved digest, not the raw source.
- Confidence badges tell you how sure the AI was about each field.
Common questions
- Can I delete the original email evidence? Yes — open Archive and delete from there if needed.
- Why does the digest differ from the source? It's a summary you confirmed during review.
