Two simple ways to control which emails ever reach Bubsby.
What this does
- Allowed senders — a list of email addresses you've approved. Only their emails come through.
- Mute sender — a quick block straight from an email card.
When to use this
- You've connected Gmail or Outlook and don't want every newsletter through.
- A particular sender keeps sending things you don't need.
- You want a quiet, focused Emails tab.
How it works
Allowed senders
- Open Settings → Email Intake → Allowed Senders.
- Add an email address (e.g.
news@yourschool.edu). - Optionally add wildcards like
*@yourschool.eduto allow everyone from a domain. - Save. Only those senders are admitted.
Mute a sender
- On any email card in the Emails tab, tap Mute Sender.
- That address won't appear again until you remove the mute in Settings.
Important things to know
- The allowed-senders list applies to both Gmail forwarding and Outlook connections.
- Muting is reversible — unmute in Settings → Email Intake.
- Muted senders' emails are not stored.
Common questions
- What happens to old emails if I mute a sender? They stay where they are. The mute is forward-looking.
- Can I temporarily mute? Not yet — mute is on or off. You can unmute when you're ready.
