For personal Microsoft accounts, Bubsby connects directly via secure sign-in.
What this does
- Connects your Outlook / Hotmail / Live inbox to Bubsby.
- Watches for emails matching your allowed-sender list.
- Holds them for review, never auto-creating items.
When to use this
- Your school or organisation sends you mail through Microsoft.
- You're already on Outlook and prefer not to set up forwarding.
How it works
- Open Settings → Email Intake.
- Choose Connect Outlook.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account when prompted and grant the requested permissions.
- Set up your Allowed Senders so only those addresses come through.
- New emails from those senders appear in your Emails tab.
Important things to know
- Bubsby only reads emails that match your allowed-sender list — not your whole inbox.
- You can disconnect anytime from Settings → Email Intake.
- Work-managed Microsoft accounts may not be allowed to connect, depending on your IT policy.
Common questions
- Is this safe? Yes — Bubsby uses Microsoft's standard secure sign-in. No password is stored.
- Will it move emails out of my inbox? No. They stay in Outlook; Bubsby just sees a copy of the ones from allowed senders.
- Why don't I see Gmail-style forwarding? Microsoft's own connection works better than forwarding for personal accounts.
