Adding your kids unlocks per-child views, school email matching, and birthday reminders.
What this does
- Records each child's name, school, grade, and birth year.
- Lets you choose an avatar — photo, or a colour and initial.
- Powers the Children tab and email auto-matching.
When to use this
- During first-day setup.
- When a new sibling arrives.
- When a child changes school or moves up a grade.
How it works
- Open Settings → Children.
- Tap Add child.
- Enter their name, school, grade, and (optionally) birth year.
- Pick an avatar — photo or a colour + initial.
- Save.
Important things to know
- Children are shared across your household — both parents see and edit the same list.
- Birth year is optional but unlocks better birthday handling.
- Updating school or grade improves how Bubsby matches incoming school emails.
Common questions
- Can I add a child without a school? Yes — the school field is optional.
- What if my child is between grades? Use the grade you most often refer to.
- Will my child see their own data? Only if you give them their own account in your household with the Child role.
