When two events overlap, Bubsby raises a quiet flag so you can decide.
What this does
- Detects when a new or edited event overlaps with another in your calendar.
- Shows a small alert with the clashing event's name, time, and how long the overlap is.
- Lets you keep both, change the time, or dismiss the alert.
When to use this
- Whenever you're scheduling something into a busy week.
- After accepting a delegated event from your partner.
How it works
- While creating or editing an event, Bubsby checks against your other items.
- If there's a clash, an alert appears: "Scheduling conflict: [event] overlaps by X minutes."
- Choose:
- Keep anyway — saves both.
- Change time — returns you to edit.
- Dismiss — closes the alert without changing anything.
Important things to know
- "Overlap" means any minute of overlap — even one minute triggers the flag.
- Conflicts are flagged but not blocked. You decide what to do.
- This works against events already in Bubsby; it doesn't yet detect conflicts with your external Google or Outlook calendar.
Common questions
- What if I want to be back-to-back? Tap Keep anyway.
- Can I see all conflicts in one place? Open Calendar — overlapping items appear stacked on the same day.
