Ask your partner to be reminded about something — without taking over their phone.
What this does
- Lets you propose a reminder time to someone else in your household.
- The other person sees your suggestion and accepts, adjusts, or declines.
- Nothing is set on their phone until they say yes.
When to use this
- "Can you remember to pick the cake up at 4?"
- "Don't forget the dentist Tuesday morning."
- "Remind yourself to bring the camera to school assembly."
How it works
- While creating or editing an item, assign it to your partner (or another household member).
- Choose Suggest a reminder and pick a time.
- They get a banner on their card: "[You] suggested a reminder for [time]. Nothing happens unless you accept."
- They tap Add the reminder (accept), Adjust time, or decline.
- You see a small "Seen" or "Accepted" status update on your end.
Important things to know
- Suggested reminders are inactive until accepted. They never fire on the recipient's phone uninvited.
- The recipient is in full control of their own notifications.
- If they adjust the time, you'll see the new time on the item.
Common questions
- What if they don't respond? The suggestion stays as pending. You can chase them through your usual channels.
- Can I cancel a suggestion? Yes — open the item and remove the reminder.
- Can I set a reminder on my own phone for the same item? Yes — your reminder and theirs are separate.
