Save recipes from anywhere — a URL, a photo, a paste, or by typing.
What this does
- Pulls ingredients and instructions out of recipe websites and social posts.
- Lets you snap a photo of a paper recipe or cookbook page.
- Lets you type or paste a recipe by hand.
- Saves it to your Recipe Library, ready to add to your shopping list.
When to use this
- A friend sends a TikTok or Instagram cooking video.
- You see a great recipe on a blog.
- A grandparent's handwritten recipe is sitting on the bench.
- You want to type one in from memory.
How it works
- Open Recipes → New (or share a link from another app).
- Choose a mode:
- URL — paste a link.
- Text — paste or type.
- Photo — snap a photo, Bubsby reads it.
- Manual — enter ingredients row by row.
- Review parsed ingredients and instructions, edit if needed, save.
Important things to know
- Some recipe features are on paid plans — you'll see a badge if so.
- Bubsby tags the source (TikTok, Instagram, website, manual) for filtering.
- Photos and PDFs use the same OCR as the rest of the app.
Common questions
- Every recipe website? Most. If parsing misses something, edit before saving.
- Can I save a video? The link is saved; text is captured from the post or caption.
