Reminders only work if Bubsby has permission to send them. This takes one tap.
What this does
- Lets Bubsby send push notifications to your phone or browser.
- Powers reminders, delegated requests, and birthday nudges.
- Works whether the app is open or not.
When to use this
- The first time you set a reminder, Bubsby will ask.
- Or anytime in Settings → Notifications.
How it works
- The first reminder you save triggers a permission prompt: "Turn on reminders?"
- Tap Yes, notify me.
- Your phone or browser asks one more time — tap Allow.
- You'll see a small confirmation: *"Notifications on. I'll keep you posted."*
Important things to know
- If you tap Not now, no harm done — the prompt comes back next time.
- If your reminder won't save, it's usually because notifications are off or blocked. Open Settings → Notifications.
- You can switch off specific categories (reminders, birthdays, household updates) without turning off everything.
- iPhone users may need to enable notifications in iOS Settings too if they previously denied them.
Common questions
- What if I tapped "Don't allow" by mistake? Open your phone's system settings, find Bubsby, and turn notifications back on. Then return to the app.
- Will I get spammed? No. Bubsby only notifies you about things you confirmed — reminders, items shared with you, and birthdays you opted into.
